# Merchant Profile

The **Merchant Profile** resource allows you to create and manage the merchant records within the Merchant Demographics API.

This resource captures the primary business identity and operational attributes required to identify and manage a merchant profile.

Use the merchant profile resource to:

1. **Create new merchant**

Initialize a new merchant record with required business and contact information.

2. **Get merchant details**

Retrieve profile information for a specific merchant.

3. **Update merchant profile**

Modify business information, contact details, or operational attributes as needed.

4. **Delete merchant**

Remove an existing merchant record.
