# Recurring Payments

The Virtual Terminal window allows you to:

* Utilize [Recurring Payments API](https://docs.xplorpay.com/api-references/payments/cards/recurring-payments-service)
* [Add a New Customer](/merchant-portal/guides/virtual-terminal/recurring-payments/adding-a-new-customer.md)
* [Add a Payment Method](/merchant-portal/guides/virtual-terminal/recurring-payments/adding-a-payment-method.md)
* Store Payment Options

To enable the recurring payments option:

Select the **Take a Payment** from the Virtual Terminal menu.

Go to the **Terminal** tab.

Click the checkbox for the **Enable Recurring Payment Services**.

The Virtual Terminal menu displays two new sub-menu options when you enable the recurring payment services option:

* **Customers**: Manage recurring payment services for your existing customers or add a new customer.
* **Plans**: Manage existing recurring payment plans or create a new plan for recurring payment services.
